Powerful Trimmer

The Worx cordless 20V MAX lithium powered grass trimmer takes trimming and edging to a whole new level. As a trimmer, this cordless trimmer is portable and efficient.

A nice feature of the Worx 20V cordless trimmer is the built in retractable flower guard. The flower guard is built right into the trimmer so all you have to do is pull it out to use it. The guard keeps the trimmer a safe distance from your flowers, yard ornaments, fences and anything else you want protected.

It has a large 12 inch cutting diameter which means you will be able to get your trimming done in less time. There is no “bumping” required with the automatic 100% single line feed.

Wheeled Edger

The Worx 20V cordless trimmer will convert to a wheeled edger in just seconds and it doesn’t require any tools to do so. To convert your Worx 20V cordless trimmer to an edger is very easy. Simply unlock the trimmer head, pull down into a flat position, lock it back up, pull, twist and turn. Now you have a powerful precision edger. Great for edging along sidewalks, streets, driveways and almost anywhere else you need an edge.

Mini Mower

Not only does it convert to being an edger, but with a flip of the wheels it will also turn into a mini mower. Great for spaces that are too big for a trimmer, but not big enough for a lawnmower.

To convert your Worx 20V cordless trimmer to a mini mower, remove the wheels from the edger position, flip it over, insert the wheels back into the guard. Now you have a mini mower. There are two positions. One is a traditional position so you can cut like a regular lawn mower. The head will also tilt a full 90 degrees to get into those hard to reach areas such as low lying shrubs, under picnic tables, under chairs, etc. You can also turn the wheels 45 degrees to make it easy to trim around fences, etc.

Powered by a Worx 20 Volt Lithium Ion Battery

With 20 volts of MAX lithium battery power, the WG160 provides longer battery runtimes and more power. There is no self discharge and no slow loss of power.

An added bonus is that you can share the battery with any of the tools within the 20V Power Share Platform. You can use the same battery on your leaf blower and hedge trimmer and any other tool within the Power Share Platform.

In the frequently asked questions on Amazon there were many people who asked about the run time for the battery on this 20v cordless trimmer. Most answers were that it lasted about 20 minutes. However, there were several people who responded that theirs went anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour. While 20 minutes doesn’t seem like very long, one reviewer pointed out that his yard was about ¾ of an acre and he could do all his trimming with one battery. Many people pointed out that by the time the battery died, they were ready to take a break too.

The Worx 20V cordless trimmer uses a patented copolymer nylon resin and synthetic material designed with an oval aerodynamic shape known as DNA2 DoubleHelix Line.

This patented design increases edging life up to 25-percent compared to normal use conditions. This resin line is softer, allowing for the line to stretch and cushion on impact with hard surfaces.

The Worx GT GT 2.0 trimmer features 100% single line feed which means no bumping to extend the line. Reviewers had pretty positive reviews on the way the line worked. If you order directly from the company they do offer a program called “Free Spools for Life”. This option is not available through Amazon. However, if you compare what they charge you for shipping and what you can buy the line for on Amazon it is quite comparable.

Assembly

All you have to do to assemble the Worx 20V cordless trimmer is to snap the guard on to the trimmer and attach it with a screw. Pop the wheels on, charge the battery and you are ready to go!
